We celebrate the inauguration of the Venezuela Chapter of our Institute, a further step in the mission of the Chapter for the Americas: to open branches in all countries of the region.

Presiding this new chapter is Dr. Zaida Josefina Marcano de Navas, President of the Fundación en Defensa de los Derechos Humanos la Familia, specialized in International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law and Human Rights, among many of her steps in the path of Human Rights.

It is necessary to talk about Human Rights; the power of the word is presented to us as a firearm against concealment, against lies, against the systems that do not see in our bodies more than gears of a machinery whose only function is to keep on.

We salute the nascent IIDH-Venezuela and all those, anywhere in the world, who raise their voices when they see inequality.
